A casualty was rushed to hospital after a two vehicle horror crash on a busy Scots motorway.
The incident happened early on Thursday morning and involved two cars.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving two vehicles on the A73 Bellside Road near Airdrie around 8.40am on Thursday 17 June."
"The vehicles were recovered and the road fully reopened by 10am."
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service added: “We received a call at 9:21am to attend a road traffic collision.
"We transported one patient to Wishaw General and treated a further patient at the scene."
