A person was rushed to hospital after a crash between a small car and a heavy goods vehicle on a main road near Oldham. Emergency services raced to the scene on Huddersfield Road, Delph, on Thursday morning (December 22).
Police cordoned off the road with fire crews also called to the scene, who assessed the casualty before paramedics took them to hospital.
Greater Manchester Police shared pictures of the silver Nissan Micra and badly damaged front of the HGV. Despite one person being rushed to hospital, they said those involved only sustained minor injuries.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At 11am on Thursday 22 December, firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision on Oldham Road, Delph.

“Three fire engines from Oldham, Chadderton and Hollins along with the technical response unit and support from Leigh attended the scene where a car and a heavy goods vehicle had collided.
“One casualty was assessed by fire service personnel and conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for one hour and fifteen minutes and left after making the scene safe.”
