It was meant to be the happiest day of two Casualty favourites' lives on Saturday night, but lives were instead turned upside down.
Two characters were brutally killed off in devastating scenes, after a train crash horror left three characters fighting for their lives.
The BBC One hospital drama's latest episode aired tense scenes as wedding guests and the groom prepared for the big day, unaware the bride and two others were in grave danger.
After crashing onto a train track when their car lost control, bride Fenisha was left injured and trapped as driver Matthew tried to free her.

He was running out of time as a train was speeding towards them on the track, and paramedic Lev, Fenisha's colleague, was soon in action.
Lev was in the area and witnessed the horror unfolding in front of him, before racing to the scene to try and free the trapped bride.
It was touch and go, but Matthew managed to get the door open and get Fenisha out of the car within a second of the train slamming into the vehicle.

But as the pair came round on the side of the track they noticed Lev was missing, only for him to appear from behind the train holding his injured arm.
Relief at his survival soon turned to turmoil though, when the dazed character was suddenly hit by a second train passing through at high speed, despite the first train and car being smashed up on the track further down.

Matthew could do nothing but watch on as Lev appeared dead, while Fenisha began to bleed out after pulling bits of glass out of her side.
As the ambulances arrived it was revealed Fenisha was unconscious after losing a lot of blood, and she was raced to the hospital.
Ethan, her husband to be, had actually arrived at the scene to help with casualties unaware that his bride was amongst them.

As he tended to Lev and boarded the ambulance with him, he had no idea his partner was seriously injured in the vehicle next to him.
Lev was confirmed to have sustained a major skull fracture but was still alive, while time was running out for both characters.
It was in devastating scenes at the hospital though that it soon emerged Lev was not going to survive his injuries, no matter how hard Ethan and his colleagues battled to keep him alive.

His estranged wife Faith was in tears as she arrived to learn he had passed away, before saying her goodbyes in tear-jerking scenes.
But the trauma didn't stop there, as Ethan soon learned that in the operating theatre Dylan and the others were treating Fenisha.
Unaware she'd been injured, he didn't have long to process that his wife was seriously injured as it soon emerged she too was not going to survive.

Fenisha flatlined, and the team realised it was too late to save the paramedic as Ethan watched on in tears.
As he prepared to say goodbye to his partner on what should have been their wedding day, he broke down as he wished they could have had the life they had planned.
Viewers raced to Twitter over the devastating episode, distraught that they had lost both Lev and Fenisha within the same episode.
