Castore reveal Rangers 'pro jersey' premium kit that will be same as Ibrox heroes

Castore co-founder Tom Beahon has reveled Rangers fans will be able to purchase a premium kit that will be exactly the same as those worn at Ibrox every other Saturday.

The company, founded by two brother from Liverpool in 2014 has been backed with serious funding as it continues to grow and includes Andy Murray as an investor.

They announced a five-year deal thought to be worth in the region of £25m with the Premiership club on Sunday.

While replicas are popular amongst fans they are not made with the same quality and durability of those used by the professionals on a match day.

But now, the Ibrox clubs new kit provider is planning on giving fans a high quality option for next season.

Speaking on talkSPORT  he said: "We realised that increasing the price of the core replica jersey was going to be a very emotive issue for fans, so that's not something that we want to do.

"That core jersey will remain in line with the price point that it's been historically.

"However, there is an opportunity, we believe, to expand that product offering.

"So for Rangers, we'll be launching a pro jersey which will be the kit that the players themselves wear on the pitch stepping out at Ibrox on a Saturday afternoon.

"That will be at a higher price point. Not all fans will want that kit but we believe a significant portion of them will.
