Construction is under way in Castleford for Leeds-based commercial developer Eshton.
The company has appointed West Yorkshire-based C&AJ Marshall Builders as contractors on a 10,000 sq ft dual unit scheme.
Planning permission was secured late last year for the 2019-acquired site, close to Junction 32 of the M62 with good town centre access.
Formula One Auto Centres has already been lined up as a first occupier, with the larger unit to be built speculatively.
Richard Tovey, director at Eshton, said: “C&AJ Marshall is an established contractor with a good reputation for quality and professionalism. To help us achieve our desired high-quality of construction; we selected C&AJ Marshall as part of our team and we are pleased that so soon after their appointment, they are on site and making great progress.
“Castleford offers a huge amount of potential, located in a thriving area. Formula One Auto Centres is already set to benefit from this, and we are now in the process of marketing our second unit for let.”
Colliers’ Leeds office has been appointed.
Formula One Auto Centres, launched in 1969, is on an expansion trail, as one of the UK’s largest independent motorist fast-fit vehicle repair and service providers.
