Castle Fine Art to open new head office in Birmingham city centre

An art retailer is to open a new head office in Birmingham city centre.

Castle Fine Art has agreed terms to relocate from its current home in Erdington to a new 10,000 sq ft office in the Mailbox complex, directly opposite its gallery and shop which opened there in 2019.

It is expected to complete the move during the summer to the new home where it will have a glass mezzanine, multi-purpose meeting room, pop-up gallery, breakout zones and a podcast studio.

The announcement follows other recent Mailbox deals which have seen made-to-measure tailor Edit Suits Co. opening its first physical store outside of London.

And orthodontics firm Impress has launched a 1,636 sq ft clinic to provide patients with removable aligners designed to treat overbites and other dental issues.

Castle Fine Art's managing director Ian Weatherby-Blythe said: "We are proud to be a business born and bred in the Midlands and we're hugely excited to have the opportunity to move our UK headquarters to such a prominent city centre location at Mailbox.

"As traditional ways of working continue to evolve, we wanted to create a new, dynamic head office environment that would inspire and excite our teams.

"This move reflects the continued growth of our business and we look forward to joining Birmingham's vibrant office community later this year."

Ruth Miley, senior asset manager for the Mailbox, said: "We are committed to creating a modern, vibrant and people-led space which is diverse in its community.

"As ways of living and working continue to evolve, we are delighted to be enhancing and diversifying Mailbox's existing portfolio with these exciting new additions."
