Castle Douglas pupils flying high with visit from Dumfries and District Gliding Club

Dumfries and District Gliding Club held an open day at Castle Douglas High School recently to promote gliding as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme.

The club is based at Falgunzeon and flies every Sunday, weather permitting.

Anyone interested in the sport can contact the club through Facebook or their website at www.dumfriesanddistrictglidingclub.co.uk .

The club will also be opening its doors for flying week, which runs from August 10 to 18.
