Castle Douglas Primary staff and pupils say farewell to much loved janitor

Castle Douglas Primary has said a fond farewell to a much loved member of staff.

Janitor Stephen Robb has retired after 29 years at the school. He was given a special send off when he was invited along to what he thought was hymn practice – only to discover it was a special assembly for him.

The children sang a song about him to the tune of a classic from The Proclaimers and also made him a crown.
