Castle Douglas Post Office staff put on panto costumes to raise cash for theatre

Castle Douglas Post Office is home to some colourful characters this week.

Anyone popping in to send off Christmas presents will come face-to-face with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Staff have put on the costumes normally found at the Fullarton Theatre as the coronavirus pandemic means they are unable to hold a pantomime for the second year running.

In return for laughs and smiles, customers are being asked to put some money in the collection buckets for the community-run facility.

Postmaster Colin Wilson, who has performed at the Fullarton numerous times in the past, came up with the idea last year to raise cash for the theatre.
