Castle Douglas High School's fantastic fashion show raises more than £1,200 for school funds

Castle Douglas High School promised an evening of entertainment and fashion and they did not disappoint.

The full house of guests was treated to a fabulous evening under the great compering skills of Pauline Drysdale and was kicked off with some singing and dancing displays from high school pupils – the talent was truly amazing.

The models, including pupils, staff, parents and a guest appearance from Colin Wilson from the Post Office, then took to the floor showcasing the fashions from Wilkies and truly entertained the audience with the senior boys certainly strutting their stuff.

A huge thanks has to go to Ray Jackson and his team at Wilkies for putting a great collection together and to the models for taking part.

The evening concluded with a raffle, which included many prizes kindly donated by businesses in the town, for which the fundraising committee is extremely grateful. An amazing £1,275 was raised for school funds.

Thanks to all who attended, helped and contributed to the success of the evening and showcasing the great talent Castle Douglas High School has to offer.
