Castle Douglas High School pupils win gold at Britannia Cup Synchronised Skating competition

Two Castle Douglas High School pupils won gold at the Britannia Cup Synchronised Skating competition at the weekend.

Megan Smith and Emma Watson, who are in second year, were part of the Solway Lightning team who took part in the event in Nottingham.

They won gold in the Basic Novice ISU category. The international and club international (non ISU) event incorporates the British Synchronised Skating Championships so in the process they became British champions in their category.
