Castle Douglas Baby and Toddler Group raise £740 with successful fun day

Castle Douglas Baby and Toddler Group held a hugely successful fun day on Saturday.

After nearly 18 months of events being cancelled due to the pandemic, people were keen to get out and enjoy themselves and the grounds of the community centre were the perfect place.

As well as a car boot sale, which gave small local businesses a chance to do a roaring trade, there was also face painting, a play area, ice cream and competitions challenging people to guess the name of the teddy bear or the number of sweets in the jar.

Wee Messy Crafters were also there as were animals from the 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre near Gatehouse.

Around £740 was raised for the group which will help with the cost of room hire and also contribute towards fun days out for youngsters.
