Cassius Winston has been flagged as a smart player since before he came to Michigan State. Well, he’s more than just a smart basketball player, he’s just flat out smart. This week, Cassius Winston will graduate in just his third year of college with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising Management.
This is a tremendous accomplishment and would have allowed Cassius Winston to go directly to the NBA this summer with a college degree if he chose to do so, instead, he will be able to go back to Michigan State and focus solely on his development as a basketball player.

- Finished his degree in just three years.
- Big Ten Player of the Year
- First Team All-American
- Final Four berth
- Big Ten Regular Season Champion
- Big Ten Tournament Champion
- Set the Big Ten single-season assist record with 291
Cassius Winston isn’t just a great point guard, he’s a great guy, and smart too, and we are lucky to get him back with the team for another season.
