Cassanova McKinzy isn’t leaving the Washington Redskins just yet.
Tuesday, the team announced McKinzy will join the practice squad, meaning he passed through waivers unclaimed.
The team also announced terminating the practice squad contracts of Deion Harris and Chris Odom.
McKinzy was one of the more interesting stories of the preseason because of how well he was playing. The former undrafted talent battled injury the year prior but stuck with it into 2019 and started to make a name for himself.
Now, McKinzy can stay on this same trajectory, provided another team doesn’t swoop in and try to poach him from the practice squad.
