Caspar Lee on preparing for Wonder Park film: "I ate wood and created a dam in the bath"

Caspar Lee joked he prepared for Wonder Park by 'eating wood' and researching since he was a child.

The YouTuber was joking about his new role in new film Wonder Park where he plays a beaver alongside friend and fellow vlogger Joe Sugg.

The pair play Gus and Cooper, two beavers that lend a hand with young girl June discovers the theme park she imagined up with her mum is real.

The beavers and other creatures help her try and save the park as zombie chimp toys try and destroy it.

Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee talk plans for "weekend movie" work after Wonder Park film

When asked how he found preparing for the role Caspar said: "It wasn't too difficult in a sense. I have been researching beavers since I was seven-years-old."

The prankster added: "I was a beaver for three months, eating wood, creating dams in the bath..."

We're assuming Caspar was joking - at least we hope so.

The film, also starring Mila Kunis and Jennifer Garner, but Caspar took it in his stride.

"I really enjoyed [making the movie]," he said "Obviously I love making YouTube videos because it's such a challenge, but this is something I could do on the weekends."

So vlogging by weekday, movie star by weekend then!

Wonder Park is out in cinemas on April 8.
