Name: Vertex Access
Based: Rotherham

Vertex Access originally focused on creating access solutions using industrial rope access techniques (through the division, Vertex Rope Access). However, technology is continuously evolving and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are reporting huge benefits to the access industry. Vertex Access decided to develop an innovative approach for aerial inspections and surveys at height called Vertex Air.
Due to good cashflow management, Vertex Access has been able to fully develop Vertex Air while continuing existing business. Each week the cashflow forecast is updated and analysed by the three highly experienced directors to ensure financial security.
There is a monthly overview of financial statements that focuses on the income statement and the overall balance sheet at the end of each month. This amount shows a monthly figure and a year-to-date figure.
Firstly, the income statement is analysed to show how much income has been generated, looking in detail at the company’s expenditure. It is discussed to establish the financial position and to plan future strategy for each of the divisions, Vertex Rope Access and Vertex Air, to either increase or reduce investments, overheads and general spending.
Vertex Access ensures that good relationships are kept with clients so that payments are made on time. Payments are also made promptly with suppliers to guarantee future credit terms are always offered.
Vertex Access wouldn’t be able to provide practical, cost-effective and efficient access solutions through Vertex Air and Vertex Rope Access without the appropriate cashflow management.
