After pivoting many times as a company, we soon realised that cashflow is the make or break of a startup with millions of users, and great word of mouth doesn’t make a company.
Our most recent pivots over the last 12 months have seen us shift our focus from a purely B2C website to a B2B company too.
We developed our own ticketing software, which our bar, pub, club and pop-up partners can use to sell tickets for events as well as get free promotion to our two million monthly users.
Ticket selling instantly generates an income stream and is also immediate, as we take the money first before passing it back to the event organiser, minus commission.
Secondly we recently launched Collins, our revolutionary booking and enquiry management software – it is a first for the industry to be able to manage real-time restaurant bookings as well as bar, party and private hire enquiries.
Launched in February 2014, we already have more than 150 customers, including the likes of chains such as Fullers, Wahaca and most of the top bars in London (soon to spread nationally). This works on a monthly direct debit for the venues and on at least a 12 month contract. This is guaranteed monthly income for the year, for every venue we sign up.
This pivot to B2B has transformed our cashflow for the positive and put us in a much stronger growth position for 2015. The results have been incredible.
