Cash Converters smash and grab thugs stole jewellery and phones

Thugs fled on bicycles after helping themselves to jewellery and mobile phones after an early morning smash and grab at a Cash Converters.

Today Merseyside Police isssued CCTV stills of two men they want to trace after raiders smashed through a window during the burglary.

The burglars struck at Cash Converters in Southport.

Police said they were called to reports of a break-in at the pawn-brokers in Eastbank Road.

Officers were called at 4.50am on Wednesday, April 21, after the two culprits broke a front window and smashed their way into the premises and stole mobile phones and jewellery.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "It is believed that the offenders made off from the scene on pedal bicycles.

"We have issued CCTV images of two men who we believe could assist with our investigation."
