Casemiro leaves Jackson Irvine starstruck as Manchester United star tells him 'I see you'

Former Celtic and Hibs midfielder Jackson Irvine was left shellshocked and starstruck recently after a video emerged of the Australian midfielder having a conversation with Manchester United star Casemiro.

Irvine has crafted a strong career for himself as an energetic, goalscoring midfielder, mustering over 100 appearances in the Scottish Premiership at Celtic, Kilmarnock, Ross County and Hibs. Of course, he isn't perhaps as talented or successful as his Brazilian counterpart, but with 51 appearances for Australia's national team - including caps under Ange Postecoglou earlier in his career - Irvine has been around the block enough to become a household figure.

Currently plying his trade at German outfit St Pauli, he jetted off to the FIFA football awards alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and the like. But after a conversation with Casemiro emerged from a photograph of the pair, a wholesome exchange was recorded that left Irvine speechless - with the Manchester United midfielder recognising him from the World Cup.

After sharing a photo together, the duo look set to part way before Casemiro asks Irvine: "You plays for Australia, no?"

Slightly taken aback, Irvine responds with: "Australia, yeah mate."

Casemiro then tells Irvine he knows him, stating: "I know, I see you."

Now in an apparent starstruck mood, Irvine replies: "Wow, I appreciate it."

Casemiro then exits the room, whilst Irvine sits down on cloud nine, saying to his group: "I was like, no."

One friend comments on how flustered he is, stating: "You're all red Jackson!"

Irvine then admits in a state of disbelief: "Mate, I'm sweating."
