Case Keenum sees ‘leaps and bounds’ of improvement from Dwayne Haskins

The Dwayne Haskins hype for the Washington Redskins didn’t take long to start going overboard once training camp started.

Interestingly, it didn’t seem likely the hype would be getting furthered by Haskins’ direct competition either.

Either way, veteran quarterback Case Keenum is the one hyping up Haskins by saying the rookie has improved by “leaps and bounds,” according to ESPN’s John Keim.

Keenum also said the following: “He’ll be a great quarterback for a long time…. He makes some big-time throws with guys in his face.”

The consensus out of camp so far has been simple: Haskins looks like he has massive upside but also continues to deal with the expected rookie hiccups.

One of the reasons the Redskins brought on Keenum though, other than to compete for the job, was to foster a quality environment for Haskins. So far, the plan is unfolding well enough, though the competition should only continue to heat up.
