Case Keenum relegated to back in ESPN’s 2012 NFL Draft QB graphic

ESPN did a graphic on the 2012 NFL during its MNF broadcast of the Vikings-Seahawks game.

The network’s graphic designers strategically positioned players by round with Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Ryan Tannehill and Brandon Weeden in the front row as they were first-round picks.

Then at another desk/table came Brock Osweiler and Seattle’s Russell Wilson. They were next to Nick Foles and Kirk Cousins. The current Minnesota QB was a fourth-round pick of Washington, which also had selected RG III in the first.

If you look in the back of the graphic, forlornly and lonely against the wall in the No. 7 jersey is Case Keenum. The Houston Texans signed the former University of Houston QB after he went undrafted.

And now, years later, he has been banished to the back of the class.

That’s only half the insult. Earlier, Booger McFarland while doing his non-stop commentary suggested the Vikings had always been the victims of quirky plays. This after Minnesota benefited from a twice-batted pass that turned into a Pick Six. The ESPN analyst reference the Minneapolis Miracle as a play that had worked against the Purple People.

You remember, it worked against them so well that Keenum’s pass wound up in Stefon Diggs’ hands and turned it a touchdown for Minnesota that sunk the New Orleans Saints on Jan. 24, 2018.
