Case Keenum joins Conference USA Hall of Fame’s inaugural class

Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum was one of 25 former players inducted into the Conference USA Hall of Fame this week.

Keenum joined Dwyane Wade and Bob Huggins in the inaugural class, aimed at celebrating the conference’s 25th anniversary.

It isn’t hard to see why: Keenum spent four years with Houston, throwing for 5,000-plus yards three times and still holding various FBS records, including for passing touchdowns (155) and games with 300-plus passing yards (39).

Understandably, Keenum is the winningest player in Houston football history and took the Cougars to four bowl games.

Now with the Redskins, Keenum faces the tall task of a quarterback battle with a new team looking for a fresh leader in the wake of Alex Smith’s devastating injury.
