Case Keenum is one of NFL’s best against the blitz through two games

Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum is nothing if not efficient at taking what a defense gives him.

This much is apparent through a brief look at the stat sheet — Keenum’s team is 0-2, yet he’s sitting on 601 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions while completing almost 70 percent of his passes.

As ESPN’s NFL Matchup noted in the tweet above, much of this has to do with Keenum’s ability to remain poised under pressure.

Part of the credit should go to Jay Gruden too considering Keenum tossed 15 picks in Denver last year. But Keenum hasn’t blinked often despite starting his Redskins tenure with two NFC East opponents.

Granted, Keenum playing like this could delay the Dwayne Haskins era, but at this point, it’s probably a good problem to have.
