Case Keenum is excited to play against his hometown Dallas Cowboys

Case Keenum knows all about the rivalry between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys.

Keenum grew up in Texas, so it was a little strange for his family back home to suddenly own Redskins gear. He said as much during a recent press conference.

“I’m excited to play these guys,” Keenum said, according to NBC Sports Washington’s Peter Hailey. “Grew up in Texas, obviously Cowboy country. A lot of my hometown, a lot of my friends and family back home, they got a big box of Redskins gear this year. They have to hide it from all their friends.”

Keenum has a tall task in front of him, though he is quietly coming off a stellar game where he threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns.

Those Cowboys do the same though after a Week 1 win over the New York Giants was a 35-17 rout while quarterback Dak Prescott threw for four touchdowns.

If Keenum is going to pull off the upset over his hometown team, he might need another similar line.
