Case Keenum in a walking boot on Wednesday; Gruden yet to make a call on starting QB

While it may seem like Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum was pulled from Sunday’s game due to poor play, coach Jay Gruden has said twice now that it was due to a foot injury. On Wednesday, Gruden told the media that Keenum is still dealing with a lot of discomfort in his foot, which could potentially play into the decision that Gruden will soon make of who starts at that position on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Colt McCoy, who is nearing full health, and could very possibly be active for this week’s game, is starting to seem like the obvious answer. After spending six years with the team, he knows the offense inside and out, and he presents more hope than the other two QBs at the moment.
