Case Keenum feels some extra motivation playing against his former team on Thursday

The two quarterbacks that will take the field on Thursday night in the game between the Minnesota Vikings and Washington Redskins have a history. Not with each other, or even with their own team; they have a history with their opponent, as both players spent some time with the franchise across the field from them.

While Kirk Cousins has a complicated past in Washington after spending six years with the Redskins, Case Keenum also has a spotted history with the Vikings after leading them to the NFC Championship game in 2018 and then being ignored by the team when it came to signing a new contract.

For Keenum, it’s safe to assume that this past grievance will provide some extra motivation on Thursday night.

The added joke about his standing as a journeyman quarterback is still funny despite the fact that Keenum hasn’t played a former team yet this season, but nonetheless, it will be fun to watch as Keenum is reunited with, or against, some former teammates on the national state in Minnesota.
