Case Keenum feels at home in the Redskins’ system

Case Keenum knows that the real quarterback competition with Dwayne Haskins won’t begin until training camp, so right now he is just trying to gain a feel for the Washington offense.

So far, so good.

In attempts to learn his third offense in as many years, Keenum has put in the reps this spring to grasp the new scheme and grow comfortable around his new teammates.

“I feel good. I feel good with the work that I’ve put in and what I’ve been able to do,” Keenum said, via Redskins.com. “I’m also really hard on myself and I want to be great. I want to be really good.”

As Keenum looks to stabilize his rollercoaster of a career thus far, it seems that the offense in Washington has proven to be a good fit for the journeyman QB.

“I love this system, I really do,” said Keenum. “I think Jay [Gruden] has done a great job putting it together. I think it’s really well presented and put together really good. I think I can thrive in it. So, I want to push it to the next level.”

The intensity has been minimal so far in OTAs, as is to be expected, but when fall rolls around and the reps start to carry more weight, expect Keenum to be ready to deliver.
