Casa-Soho: free music festival comes to the Blue Posts thanks to Casamigos tequila

Tequila soda: very 2025 - (Standard)

Possibly the hottest tequila brand right now, Casamigos, is continuing to make moves in London. The drinks team has hosted padel tournaments, sponsored fashion parties and artists’ residencies, and has been seen at various DJ nights around town.

Next up is a free two-day festival in Soho, with Casamigos set to take over one of its most en vogue pubs, the Blue Posts, turning it into the “Teal Posts” and putting tequila front and centre.

Dubbed Casa-Soho, the festival will bring margaritas (not free), a radio takeover and DJ sets, including exclusive rooftop performances on the Broadwick hotel rooftop — just above the pub — from SKG, Donch and Jordss. Soho Radio will be broadcasting live from the Teal Posts over two days.

Other events include a pub quiz hosted by Instagrammers Housewives of Clapton and wine writer Hannah Crosbie, while nearby pizza shop Breadstall will be offering a margarita-slice combo to anyone in the area. Local independent business Leanne’s Flowers will be gifting complimentary posies to passers-by.

The festival appears to be modern marketing at its best — a pocket of Soho transformed into a tequila playground. Our recommendation is to visit around 5pm, for a two-hour “happy hour”, during which margaritas, frozen or otherwise, will be 2-4-1. Though visit any time to catch Joel Mignott, Goldie Quaker and Rachel Almeida DJ sets and various other shenanigans.

The festival also comes after Ronnie Scott’s, a five minute walk around the corner, announced a similar event. On August 2, the famous Soho jazz bar is to host a free street party for all comers, with music and dancing on Frith Street from 11am until 5pm. Artists on the bill include Jazz Jamaica, Theon Cross, Cosmic Fusion and Kinetika Bloco.

Soho is doing a good job of being Soho this summer. Casamigos spokeswoman Kandace Williamson said the brand wants to raise a toast “to the social fabric of the neighbourhood”, one that blends artists with musicians, chefs with suited office workers.

“[The festival] aims to be a celebration of the people and places that give Soho its unique character,” said Williamson.

“It’s a love letter to spontaneous after work drinks, Soho’s iconic entertainment and drinking culture, and the eclectic crowds of friends that gather here.”

Casa-Soho will be held at the Blue Posts (under its new guise) over August 12-13. 22 Berwick Street, W1F 0QA, theblueposts.net
