Carson Wentz will have a high passer rating thanks to Alshon Jeffery

Say what you want about Carson Wentz’s penchant for targeting Zach Ertz early and often, but if the Eagles star is smart, he’ll make Alshon Jeffery a priority from the start. Even with his dropped pass that ended the Eagles season in New Orleans, Alshon Jeffery is one of the best in the business when it comes to making the clutch catch and securing the pigskin when it matters most.

Pro Football Talk broke down Jeffery’s steady play at wide receiver, and the Eagles star pass-catcher has a way of increasing his quarterbacks’ passer rating steadily throughout his career.

Last season, Jeffery had 65 catches for 843 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 13.0 yards per snag. Jeffery’s 64 catches were his most since the 2014 season with the Chicago Bears.
