The Philadelphia Eagles felt comfortable giving Carson Wentz $107 million guaranteed because of the signal callers ability to be consistent and accurate at all times when he’s in the game. Say what you want about his injury history, but when Wentz is healthy and under center, he’s the most efficient and highest-graded quarterback in the NFC East.

The grade speaks volumes for Wentz, who had an up-and-down 2018 season while working his way back from a torn ACL and LCL suffered the year prior. Last season, Wentz was again efficient from the pocket and battled, even after he suffered a back injury which ended his season.
Wentz finished the season with a grade of 79.4, ahead of his rival and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott(who finished at 74.8). Nick Foles finished third, despite not starting, followed by Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith (70.2) and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning (64.3).
Wentz completed 69.6 percent of his passes for 3,074 yards, 21 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and a 102.2 passer rating.
