Carson Wentz to Nelson Agholor connection is one of the NFL’s worst through Week 8

Carson Wentz is one of the highest-graded quarterbacks in the NFL currently, but when he starts to target Nelson Agholor, the Eagles star suddenly becomes worst than average. Coincidence or not, Wentz and Agholor don’t have the chemistry of a normal seen with a top-tier signal-caller, and the numbers are telling when averaged out.

According to Sheil Kapadia of The Athletic, Wentz only averages 6.0 yards per attempt when targeting Agholor, ranking the Birds duo 79th out of the 93 quarterback-receiver pairings that have had at least 25 pass attempts or more.

Agholor has just seven catches for 86 yards in the past four games, and his dropped balls and perceived lack of effort have made more highlights than the Eagles wideout. With the Eagles desperately needing the threat of the big play, Agholor will still be counted on heavily in the Philadelphia passing game.
