Carson Wentz reached out to Nick Foles to offer support after Jags QB suffered broken Clavicle

Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Carson Wentz returned the favor to former teammate Nick Foles, offering encouraging words after the Jaguars star quarterback suffered a broken clavicle while completing a beautiful touchdown pass to D.J.Chark.

Foles could miss a chunk of this season, and it’s a reversal of roles for Wentz, who had been on the other end of back-to-back season-ending injuries.

For Wentz, Foles is a brother and these injuries are an unfortunate part of the game.

“I did reach out to Nick, and I love Nick to death and the competitor that he is, so that’s really a bummer and unfortunate,” Wentz said Wednesday. “But that’s what we sign up for. When you play this game, there are so many things you can’t control, and I know he believes that. He believes that God’s using him for a reason, so to be able to go through it from a faith-filled standpoint for him, I know it’s tough, but I know he’ll handle it well.”
