Carson Wentz No. 2 behind Russell Wilson in ranking of QB passing yards vs. pressure

Carson Wentz is having one efficient season and despite his passing numbers not being overwhelming, he’s making the right plays and has the Birds at 5-4 at the bye week.

With the bye, Wentz has the chance to rest up and prepare for a stretch run that should see him put even more pressure on opposing defenses.

If not for a league-leading amount of drops from his receiving corps, Wentz might be in the discussion for MVP. He’s definitely in the discussion for the NFL’s best quarterback and enters the start of Week 10 games, as the second-highest-rated signal-caller in the NFL behind the Seahawks Russell Wilson.

Wentz has performed in the clutch and he’s been at his best when pressured. According to Pro Football Focus, Wentz is second to Wilson in passing yards vs. pressure.

Through nine games this season, Wentz has completed 62.7% of his passes, completing 190 of 303 pass attempts, for 2,060 yards, 15 touchdowns, and four interceptions.
