Carson Wentz lands right behind Patrick Mahomes in odds to win 2019 NFL MVP

Carson Wentz has already been prognosticated to win an NFL MVP by one popular ESPN Insider, and now Ceasars Palace is joining the chorus, naming Wentz as one of their favorites to bring home the award.

Mahomes won the 2018 NFL MVP award in his first season as a starter, and the Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback is the betting favorite to win the award next season. Mahomes is coming off one of the greatest seasons in NFL history after completing 66 percent of his passes for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns while leading the Chiefs to a 12-4 record.

For Wentz, the quarterback with the highest guaranteed contract in NFL history, the 2019 prediction should be the standard for a guy who was on his way to winning the award in 2017 before tearing his ACL.

In 2017, Wentz threw for 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns while leading the Eagles to an 11-2 record through 13 games.
