Carson Wentz is 2nd highest graded QB in NFL behind Russell Wilson through Week 6

If Carson Wentz really is trying to do too much on offense, then it’s in the Philadelphia Eagles’ best interest for No. 11 to do even more. According to Pro Football Focus, Wentz is currently the second-highest graded quarterback in the NFL (Russell Wilson is first, Dak Prescott is third).

The Eagles are one of the top teams in the NFL on third down, and Wentz was recently ranked as the top signal-caller on PFF’s All-Pro team, despite Philadelphia leading the NFL in dropped passes.

Wentz is among the highest-rated passers in football with over 100 or more dropbacks this season, and through six weeks, he’s now PFF’s second highest-graded quarterback at 90.6 (one-tenth behind Seattle’s Russell Wilson).   Wentz currently leads the NFL in negative plays and is one of the elites in the league at making big-time throws (6.1 percent rate, seventh of 32).
