Training camp is a little less than two months away for the Philadelphia Eagles, but any doubts about Carson Wentz and DeSean Jackson forming chemistry have been greatly exaggerated. It’s been only a few OTA practices, but Wentz has looked sharp and especially crisp when targeting Jackson on intermediate routes.
Wentz looks like a quarterback who’s ingratiated himself to the star wideout and is doing his part to build rapport with Jackson.
With opposing defenses still having to commit a safety over the top and the cornerbacks still having to respect Jackson’s speed, any route in the 10-20 yard range should be free YAC for the Eagles and their explosive offense. Expect to see Jackson and Wentz hook up often in the short passing game, screen game, passes over the middle, and the deep ball over the top.
