Carson Wentz confident the Eagles can still stretch the field without injured DeSean Jackson

DeSean Jackson will miss his third straight game for the Philadelphia Eagles with an abdominal injury, but star quarterback Carson Wentz believes the Birds can still have a deep ball presence. During the Wednesday press conference, Wentz talked about Jackson’s dynamic playmaking ability and what he brings to the Eagles offense.

He then on to make it clear that he felt the Eagles could still stretch the field vertically and “make big plays” without Jackson.

On Wednesday, Doug Pederson confirmed that Jackson continue his rehab while working out on the practice field, meaning it’s unlikely he’ll play against the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis on Sunday. With Jackson out, Wentz will look to Nelson Agholor, Mack Hollins and JJ Arcega-Whiteside for his vertical threats.

Agholor has gone several games without a catch and his targets have dropped dramatically.
