Carshalton: Woman left in critical condition after hit and run

A woman has been left in a critical condition following a hit and run incident in Carshalton.

Police were called to reports that a car had collided with a pedestrian on Wrythe Lane, at approximately 7.59pm on December 1.

Officers attended the scene near to the junction with Surrey Grove and the woman, aged in her 50s, was taken to hospital. The woman remains in a critical but stable condition.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The car involved in the incident has not been located and was last seen driving towards Rose Hill.

Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dash cam footage of the incident.
