Cars set on fire as bricks thrown through house windows in ‘terrifying’ Wishaw attack

Police are appealing for information after a house was attacked and two cars set on fire in Wishaw.

The incidents took place on Saffron Crescent at around 11.30pm last night.

A number of bricks were thrown through the windows of a house, while two cars outside on the street were set on fire.

Detective Inspector Kenny Dalrymple, of Wishaw CID, said: "This was a terrifying incident for the occupants of the house, who were thankfully not injured as a result.

"Enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and contact police.

"We will also be carrying out extra patrols in the area as enquiries continue and to offer community reassurance."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 4130 of 5 October. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.
