Gardai have warned farmers to be careful to tie down trailer loads after an accident in Kilkenny at the weekend.
A tractor travelling with a load of bales on a North Kilkenny road was filmed at the moment the load came loose.
Multiple cars and another tractor had just driven passed and could have been hit if the bales had fallen just seconds earlier.
A garda spokesperson said: "The following video shows the importance of using straps to tie down loads. As can be seen, only one strap is being used here going lengthways and the driver is travelling way to fast for the road surface.
"This incident occurred in North Kilkenny/Tipperary border area on Saturday evening. This is a busy period for farms and other businesses, please ensure all loads are properly secured."
Luckily nobody was injured in the incident.
