Cars have been covered with Durex condoms across Wythenshawe and no one knows why

A number of cars have been covered with condoms in Wythenshawe and people want to know why.

Bemused residents living in Northern Moor noticed a red Polo car had been covered in Durex two days ago.

Now, it seems a red Mini parked nearby, on Sealand Road, has also been targeted by the mysterious condom trail.

Photos show a number of Durex wrappers plastered to the window screen of the mini with a note saying: "To my favourite condom wearer."

Another photograph, seen by the M.E.N, shows what appears to be a blown-up condom which has been left attached to the windscreen wipers of a red car.

The prank seems to have left some locals angry, as the cars that have been targeted are parked in close proximity to a primary school.

Parents have complained that their curious children have been asking difficult questions about what the balloon-shaped objects could be.

One person wrote on Facebook: "I saw it yesterday coming home from school on a red polo. The kids were asking why it has balloons on.

Another joked: "A scorned girlfriend maybe the guys in the boot tied up with condoms."

It is unclear why the cars have been targeted.
