Cars, designer clothes, high-end watches, documents and an encrypted phone were some of the items seized on Wednesday morning as part of a massive operation targeting an individual with strong links to organised crime across Dublin.
The Criminal Assets Bureau along with detectives in Crumlin and Tallaght as well as the Emergency Response Unit conducted a search at four locations across Dublin.
The main focus of these searches was a residential property in the Crumlin area while a second residence was also searched in Tallaght, Dublin Live reports.
A further search was conducted at a business premises in the Kilmainham area and a professional search is also being conducted in the Tallaght area.
A 162 registered BMW 730D and a 151 registered Volvo XC60 were seized during the operation as well as a Rolex, Tag Heuer, Breitling and Bvlgari watch.
Three Canada Goose coats and five Moncler jackets were also taken in the operation along with a Fendi designer handbag, a Michael Kors handbag, a Prada Jacket and a Gucci manbag.
Documents and paperwork as well as three mobile phones, an encrypted phone and a computer hard drive were also seized.
A garda spokesman said: "The operation targeted an individual with strong links to organised criminality across the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
"The operation is focused on the source of funds used to purchase and extensively re-develop a substantial property.
He added: "The operation is a significant development in the on-going proceeds of crime investigation."
