Two parked cars at the home of Rangers player Allan McGregor were vandalised just weeks before a vehicle was deliberately set on fire there.
Police confirmed they are investigating both incidents which took place at the goalkeeper’s property near Glasgow.
Cops were called in after the first two motors were damaged in the early hours of Wednesday, August 5.
Less than a month later, officers were called back to the scene when a car was turned into a massive fireball during a targeted attack on September 3.
It is not known whether the two attacks are linked but police enquiries into both remain ongoing.
Fire crews raced to the scene at around 10.40pm on Thursday last week after the fire took hold of the vehicle.

Shocking footage of the blaze appeared on social media and showed massive flames shooting into the sky and dangerously close to the nearby property.
The blaze was successfully put out by firefighters and thankfully nobody was injured.
Investigators soon determined the car had been deliberately torched.
Anyone with information about either of the attacks is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
