Carroll's Cuisine resumes operations in Tullamore, Co Offaly after being shut due to positive Covid-19 tests

Carroll's Cuisine in Tullamore, Co Offaly has announced that it has been given the green light by health authorities to resume operations.

This follows on from confirmation that tests for Covid-19 carried out on 210 workers last Sunday were 100% negative.

Carroll Cuisine suspended operations on Monday, following a spike in Covid-19 cases in the Midlands.

The company employs 330 people in total, and nine of its employees have tested positive for Covid-19 since July 31. These staff members, and those who work with them, have been self-isolating.

But following on from the tests conducted by the Health Service Executive (HSE), authorities have approved the reopening of the facility.

A statement form Carroll Cuisine said: “The Health Service Executive and the Health and Safety Authority have reviewed and approved the extensive measures we have in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

“They have confirmed to us that we have all necessary processes in place to allow for a reopening of our facility.”
