Carrie Underwood 'looked great' weeks after devastating fall

Carrie Underwood has maintained a low profile since suffering injuries to her face and wrist in November, but she did pose for a photo with a reality star weeks after the accident.

"Below Deck" cast member Adrienne Gang shared a picture with the "Before He Cheats" singer to Twitter on Dec. 12 after running into her at the gym.

Gang now says she didn't even realize Underwood was weeks removed from a scary fall that left her hospitalized and in need of at least 40 stitches to treat a facial wound. The severity of the incident was only revealed days ago.

"I had no idea she got hurt prior to meeting her," Gang told Us Weekly. "She had a wrist brace on, but I didn't think much of it until I saw the headlines after I posted our picture together. She looked great and seemed to be in great spirits."

Underwood sustained a broken wrist after taking a "hard fall on some steps" at her Nashville home in November, her rep confirmed to the Daily News at the time.

But the singer, 34, revealed over the weekend that the accident was even more severe than she originally let on. She wrote in a post to her online fan club Sunday that she also suffered a facial injury in the fall that required "between 40 and 50 stitches."

"There is also another part of the story that I haven't been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up," Underwood wrote. "It's crazy how a freak random accident can change your life."

Underwood wrote in the post that she's healing but is "not quite looking the same" following the accident.

But Gang, 34, says she couldn't tell Underwood had suffered an injury.

"I didn't notice anything amiss on her face. Simply, she looked lovely," Gang told Us Weekly. "She was extremely friendly and gracious."

Underwood canceled a performance at a benefit concert that took place several days after her fall. She hasn't posted many new photos to social media of late either, but did share an Instagram selfie last week where much of her face is obscured by a scarf.
