Carrie Underwood at Manchester Arena - tickets, set list, stage times and everything you need to know

Carrie Underwood is set to bring her country vibes to the city this week as she makes her way to Manchester Arena .

The multi-platinum selling artist and seven-time Grammy Award winner has been a big name across the pond since winning American Idol back in 2005.

In more than a decade, Carrie has become one of the shows biggest success stories and is hitting the road in support of her sixth studio album, Cry Pretty.

Also in that time, the Nashville-based singer songwriter has gone on to sell 64 million records worldwide and notch up 26 number one singles in the USA.

Carrie's latest set of tour dates will mark her return to the UK, having last performed at the Country To Country Music Festival in 2016.

The 36-year-old has already performed shows in Birmingham and London, plus an hour-long set at this year's Glastonbury Festival on Saturday.

The European leg of her tour will see Carrie take to the Manchester Arena stage on Wednesday July 3.

If you're heading to the gig, here's what you can look forward to - and all the info you need to plan your night.

Support act

Carrie will be joined on tour by UK country duo The Shires.

Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle have been part of the music scene since forming in 2013.

The Shires will also play Manchester Arena (Newcastle Chronicle)

The pairs first three albums reached the Top 10 with most recent release, Accidentally On Purpose, peaking at number three in the UK album charts.

Their second album, My Universe, was also the fastest-selling UK country album.

One of their songs, Stay The Night, was written by none other than Ed Sheeran.

Stage times

Doors for the show open at 6pm and support act The Shires are expected on stage at around 7.45pm.

Based on other UK shows, Carrie should take to the stage at 8.40pm.

Times are always subject to change so make sure you keep an eye on the Manchester Arena Twitter feed  @ManchesterArena  for the latest.

Manchester Arena's official curfew is 11pm but some gigs finish earlier.

To make sure you don't miss a second of the gig, allow plenty of time to pass through the strict security checks in place at the arena.

It's important to note that bags larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm are not allowed inside the arena and backpacks and holdalls are banned. For more information about what you can and can't bring in with you, read the  security information on the arena's website  .

Tickets

There were still tickets left for the Cry Pretty tour at Manchester Arena via Ticketmaster  at the time of writing - but it does warn that availability is low.

The cheapest ticket available for the show is priced at £58.20 each before jumping up to £69.45.

There are also Official Platinum tickets priced from £167.50 to £172.50.

Manchester Arena seating plan

The seating plan can change depending on the event taking place at the arena.

Carrie Underwood's gig is fully seated so this is how it is expected to look on the night.

Manchester Arena seating plan (Ticketmaster)

For standard shows the arena bowl has fixed tiered seating starting at block 102 and goes round in an anticlockwise direction to block 115.

Seats are numbered from 1 upwards, meaning seat 1 is nearest to the stage for blocks 102 to 105 and 202 to 205 - but furthest from the stage for blocks 112 to 115 and 212 to 215. The floor blocks are normally numbered 1 to 18, left to right, when facing the stage.

How to get to Manchester Arena and where to park

It couldn't be easier to get to Manchester Arena as it is situated right next to Victoria Station and within spitting distance of Shudehill Interchange, making getting there by train, tram or bus a, hopefully, stress-free experience.

But just remember that around event times, the roads and public transport may be busier than usual.

Take a look at the  Transport for Greater Manchester website  to plan your journey.

If you're driving, you can find  a list of the nearest car parks here  .

Where to eat and drink before the show

Like with most venues, the Arena has fast food outlets inside selling pre-gig nibbles such as  hot dogs and nachos. There's also a selection of bars selling soft drinks and a selection of alcohol.

The bars accept contactless payment.

If you're not keen on those options before the show there are plenty more options nearby. You can take a look at  our guide to the best restaurants and bars near Manchester Arena  .
