Carrie Symonds' wedding dress revealed to have cost almost £3k - and is already sold out

Carrie Symonds' wedding dress cost almost £3,000 and has already sold out.

Boris Johnson and his third wife tied the knot in a 'secret' ceremony at Westminster Cathedral yesterday, Downing Street has confirmed.

The mum-of-one opted for a £2,870 embroidered tulle white dress, while Mr Johnson wore a dark suit with a blue tie, reports the Mirror.

Her wedding dress, by Greek-based luxury designer Christos Costarellos, was handmade, according to reports.

It features tiers of wispy ivory tulle spun with silk, with traditional Greek patterns.

This morning, the dress has sold out online (NET A PORTER)

It has latticework trims and corded lace appliqués, which the popular atelier is known for.

At the time of writing, the dress -named 'Appliquéd Embroidered Tulle Gown In White' - has sold out on Modesens and Net-A-Porter.

It is understood Ms Symonds will take her husband's surname and be known as Carrie Johnson.

The PM will be returning to the office after the Bank Holiday, according to reports.

He and Carrie Symonds plan to go on their honeymoon in summer 2022.

It is Mr Johnson's third marriage, having finalised his divorce from his second wife Marina Wheeler in 2020.

The ceremony meant Mr Johnson became the first PM to marry in office since Lord Liverpool married Mary Chester in 1822.
