Carrickfergus fire: Emergency services in attendance at ongoing incident at The Windrose Bar and Bistro

Emergency services have been called to the scene of a fire at a Co Antrim restaurant on Sunday.

It is reported that the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, PSNI and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service are in attendance of a blaze at The Windrose Bar and Bistro in Carrickfergus.

A spokesperson for the NIFRS confirmed that four appliances and one specialist were called to the incident on September 25 and are still currently attending.

They told Belfast Live: "We got the call at 12:11pm and we were in attendance at 12.20pm.

"We have four appliances in attendance and 19 officers at it. The fire is ongoing.

"We are still looking at what caused it."

A PSNI spokesperson added: "Police received a report of a fire in the Rodgers Quay area of Carrickfergus shortly before 12:15pm on Sunday, September 25.

"Officers attended and evacuated those present from the premises. Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service were also in attendance.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries."
