A second residential development of seafront apartments has been proposed in Carrickfergus.
The latest proposal is for the construction of 16 units in a two-storey and a three-storey building at Belfast Road.
The development by Lotus Homes will be located at the junction with Sloefield Road.
Lotus Homes is the developer behind Ashbourne Manor at Belfast Road.
Twenty new seafront apartments have also been proposed at Scotch Quarter in Carrickfergus.
A planning application for the development has been lodged with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.
The proposal relates to three vacant red-brick terraced houses overlooking Belfast Lough. The properties, which were on the market for £200,000, are located on a 0.2 acre site within a conservation area.
Plans for the new development include 15 duplex apartments in a new building and alterations to the existing properties to provide five new apartments with private parking area and boundary walls.
The proposal is currently under consideration.
Meanwhile, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has received a proposal of application notice for a major development in Jordanstown.
A £25m residential development has been earmarked for phase three of Oakfield Park which would see the construction of 81 new homes creating up to 60 jobs.
The sale of the high-end new properties is estimated to create a potential annual rates income of £150,000, according to the developer.
The new houses will consist of 45 detached and 36 semi-detached homes with garages, sunrooms, landscaping and open space on a 110,000 sq ft site, if it is given the go-ahead.
The existing trees on site are subject to a Tree Preservation Order.
