Glen Quinn died following a suspected assault and was found in a Ashleigh Park flat in the Woodburn area of the town on Saturday night.

Locals have told Belfast Live Mr Quinn was a “harmless character”.

In a brief statement, the PSNI said that detectives “investigating the death of a 47-year-old man in the Woodbourne area of Carrickfergus have arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and grievous bodily harm with intent; a 39-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated burglary and a 47-year-old woman on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent”.

They added that all three “remain in custody at this time”.

The police also said that a postmortem “is due to take place to determine the cause of death”.
